How to Avoid Misspelled Ad while Using DKI

Many Adwords advertisers do NOT use Dynamic Keyword Insertion (DKI) in Adwords for the simple reasons such as:

  • They feel it is complicated
  • They did he use limited number of keywords
  • They fear misspelling

This is especially true in case the Google advertiser is bidding on misspelled keywords. Bidding on misspelled keywords is a very old technique of pay per click. But when you use DKI to generate Ad, sometimes Ad becomes very funny or irrelevant.

For example if you are bidding on keyword ‘chilrens’ which is a misspelling term and putting it in headlines.

For example:
Chilrens alarm clock

The biggest question is how to avoid this?

ANSWER:

  • Restructure your pay per click account
  • Keep all the misspelled words into their own separate ad group
  • Do not to use DKI in this ad group but write ads manually.
